Hailfairy came across LA based Classixx aka Michael David and Tyler Blake on a recent Aeroplane June Mixtape which featured two of their more recent tracks ‘I’ll Get You’ and their remix of one of Phoenix’s new tracks ‘Lisztomania’. Due to copyright infringement from a Boys Choir with the same name, the boys have changed their name from a shocking ‘Young Americans’ and are finally making a name for themselves stateside for their own blend of funky and jazzy electronic beats. Recently they’ve featured on a Kitsune Tape and they’re also doing some support gigs with Justice in LA this October.
This milder blend of synth and jazz based electro has become more popular of late and as much as we love the banging stuff, it’s nice to chill out to these beats ever so often. Check out the two Classixx tracks below as well as Aeroplane’s most recent Soundcloud offering.
Hailfairy has been keeping a close eye of late on Stephen Fasano and Vito Deluca aka ‘Aeroplane‘. The Belgian duo’s goal is to create more melodic and emotive electronic music as a shift away from the banging industrial electro that is becoming the mainstay in clubs and festivals these days. Therefore it’s no surprise to see the guys remixing the likes of Cobra Dukes, Das Pop, Lindström, Cut Copy, Grace Jones, MGMT, Bloc Party, and Friendly Fires with psychedelic guitars, pop keys, disco beats, catchy bass lines and melancholic waves.
With a full length album due later in the year and the boys featuring heavily on the European Festival scene this year with a solid set completed at Oxegen and more to come at Electric Picnic in September, we thought you should check out their latest August Mix below courtesy of ZShare:
DJEDJOTRONICof Boys Noize Records is definitely one to be watched over the next few months. Alex Ridha himself has been raving about this wee French Electro grom and has been using his Gum Attack track in his livesets this summer.
